Not everything makes the journey. Most pieces don’t.
The selection happens on the ground in souks, in workshops, sometimes in homes. Christophe handles each rug himself. He checks the density of the weave, the quality of the wool, the integrity of the dye. If something doesn’t hold up, it stays behind.

One piece at a time and that’s deliberate.
Mass sourcing produces average results. Volzar works the opposite way, slow, precise and uncompromising.
Each piece selected has a reason to exist in a European home. The proportions work. The colors hold in natural light. The motif has presence without overwhelming the space.
This is not curation for its own sake. It’s the difference between a rug that fills a room and a rug that defines it.
